As John Mcguiness nears the
big four oh the
Mountain course's elder statesman
no reason to consider swapping his Sidi boots for slippers just yet.
The Morecombe bullet in his sixteenth TT year, admitted he never expected to win another "big bike" race, produced some of his best rides ever to blow away the young pretenders in both Superbike and Senior TT's to take his total to 17 victory's.
Klaus Klaffenbock and Dan Sayle nearly made it 4 wins from 4 starts until a broken water hose slowed them dramatically on the last lap of Sidecar race 2.
John Holden and Andy Winkle inherited the lead on the road and the race for the last climb over the mountain.
So after 23 years of trying, ever the bridesmaid, Holden crossed the line for a very popular first TT win.
